Real Madrid vs Manchester United Super Cup Analysis

So, here we go again, the season has officially begun and off we go. Devils vs galacticos. Real Madrid vs Manchester United. And it is the infamous super cup where the winners of the Champions League faced off with the winners of the Europa League.
Firstly let's begin with the lineups. Throughout the whole pre season there has been much debate about Gareth Bale and isco. But for this match we saw the both of them start as Cristiano Ronaldo occupying the bench for this match as he was away on vacation and had only partaken  one training session prior to this match. Another topic of debate has been whether Real Madrid will procur the services of one season wonder Kylian Mbappe after the departure of Alvaro Morata.  It's clear to see that he was no longer content in warming the bench for Real Madrid thus he opted to leave for Chelsea where he will also warm the bench. Hatred aside, mark my words.
Anyways I don't really want to waste time by writing every detail of every minute of the match because that would just be the waste of my talents. On the other hand I want this blog to be more about the magic of football hence the reason for the name Magia. So in a nutshell it was clear to see that madrid dominated most of 97 minutes of football that were played. And apart from a mistake from Keylor Navas to gift Lukaku a tap in of a goal as well as a testy 15 to minute period of football after the break, it's fair and just to say that Madrid were the better side on the night and the deserved winners. Man of the match for me was without a doubt the magician isco. But if it wasn't for our manager zizous tactics and Sergio ramos our captain, this team would probably  be reaching competition finals but winning them would be questionable. The biggest tactic of the game for me was playing casemiro in a centrallly attacking midfield position instead of in cdm. Thats what took the game away from the devils if you ask me. Moreover the ever so reliable introduction of Lucas Vazquez as support for Carvajal never seems to fail in any game. All in all, Ronaldo's 10 minute run out at the end was also a great stress reliever for the fans as well as the team.
In other news I can just imagine Bale doubters questioning Bale's performance, but I actually think he had a great game starting out on the left flank and moving to the right flank later in the game. When alls said and done though he did provide the assist for the all important second goal by isco.
In the end it was a positive start for the long and arduous season that we have ahead of us. And the magic of football is team work and performance. Let's also hope no curse comes our way.
